Introducing TAPS, a company with a game-changing mission of adding unbeatable value to supply chain management through its innovative and inclusive philosophy – ‘a construction revolution’.

TAPS Online (Pty) Ltd is a wholly 100% level 1 BBBEE black owned and managed South African enterprise that focuses on the procurement component concerning construction material supply. The enterprise has a diverse team that understands the market failures within the construction industry, which also form part of the mandate that Government wants to achieve with its transformation objectives.

TAPS Online, co-owned by two directors, was established in 2018 to transform the construction industry supply chain in an equitable manner that provides assistance to the industry by empowering and incorporating small business enterprises through planned and targeted materials sourcing, administrative, technical, management, training, regulatory compliance and financial assistance through its key strategic partners that provide incubation and elements related to some capex/opex finances.

TAPS Online provides assistance and human resources required to assist the SMME ensuring their growth and sustainability, with a strong commitment to empowering small businesses in the world of construction. A difference between success and failure, is a great team. The TAPS team has three tiers, TAPS – material procurement, TAPS Incubator and TAPS Capital, a procurement arm focused on virtual online processes, bulk purchasing enabling subcontractor discounts, wholesaler model with access to all building materials, project specific ordering to assist with working capital planning.

The materials supply business model of Taps Online is underpinned by the capacity and collaboration between the main contractors and sub-contractors, including the full support of other critical service offering namely incubation which ensure empowerment of the SMME’s and their sustainability, as such apex priority of the project part awarded to sub-contractors being material and use thereof, to be able to deliver on outputs and objectives.

The enterprise has a very strong historical performance characterized by small businesses empowerment and skills transfer looking at current beneficiaries of approximately 90 SMME sub-contractors within the affiliated ongoing Taps Online projects. Almost 100% of all clients and beneficiaries of the project are black owned and black controlled companies.

TAPS is committed to help in the transformation of the construction supply chain industry equitably through our development, we incubate small black owned business (focus on female & youth owned) in the construction industry. We delivery capacity training to these SMMEs to ensure that through our model, we can provide the market with a solution that is not only transformative but improves performance and efficiency. The TAPS ecosystem pulls all three key facets together with the common goal of assisting those SMMEs in a built environment to make sure they succeed.
